Supplies

  • 24 or more plastic egg halves
  • 1 bucket or container per player

How to play Matching Egg Hunt

Hide each egg half in a large active play space, preferably in a playground, backyard or park.  Assign a basket or container to each player. Place the baskets at the start line, the baskets can not move.

Explain that the goal of this game is to collect the most complete eggs with matching halves. The trick is that you can only carry one egg half at a time.  Once players find the matching color halves they take the completed egg back to there basket and continue hunting.

The game is over when all of the eggs have been found or a time limit is reached. The winner is the player with the most completed eggs.
